Crystal, Macfarlane Among Presenters Set for 2010 Writer’s Guild Awards

The host and presenters are set for this years Writer’s Guild Awards in Los Angeles, and it’s a star-studded cast. Hosting this year’s Awards is Family Guy script and creator Seth Macfarlane. Presenters range from beloved eight-time Oscar host Billy Crystal, Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Jason Alexander, to Morgan Freeman.

Crystal will present the WGAW’s Laurel Award for Screen to screenwriter-director-producer Barry Levinson (Avalon, Diner), while Alexander will present writer and fellow cast member, Larry David, with the Guild’s Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television. Freeman will be presenting South African born screenwriter Anthony Peckham with the Paul Selvin Award for Invictus, which he penned and Freeman starred. Further presenters include Robin Williams, Hugh Laurie, Chris Rock, Aaron Sorkin, and writer/producer Judd Apatow with Actor Jason Segel.

This year’s WGAW-hosted Writers Guild Awards West Coast show is executive produced by Spike Jones, Jr., with Carole Propp as talent producer. The 2010 Writers Guild Awards will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010, simultaneously at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles and the Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City .
