Remy konnte den ersten Löffel relativ gut schlucken:"Kannst du...kannst du bitte...bitte etwas...etwas weniger auf den...auf den Löffel tun?", bat sie, da sie Angst hatte sich erneut zu verschlucken oder durch eine zu große Menge Schluckstörungen zu bekommen.

"Na gut", meinte House gleich und stellte die Schüssel beiseite. Die Zeiten, in denen er sie gezwungen hatte, waren vorbei; inzwischen galt, dass Remy so krank war, dass sie was Schmerzen und Schluckstörungen anbelangte, immer recht hatte.
Vorsichtig legte er sie schließlich wieder hin und drehte sie auf die Seite. Eine Zeit lang sah er sie so noch an, dann musste er einfach loswerden, was ihm durch den Kopf ging: "Mit einer Sonde hättest du nicht diesen Zwang, essen zu müssen."
