Sie sah in seinem Blick, dass er sich schon wieder nur um sie sorgte. Remy wollte ihn aber nicht erneut darauf ansprechen. Sie wollte einfach nur den Moment genießen, wie sie hier, fast wie ganz normale Eheleute im Bett kuschelten. So schloß sie einfach die Augen und versuchte die Schmerzen zu ignorieren.

Remy versuchte durch die Schmerzen durch zu atmen, doch sie konnte ja nicht mal richtig tief atmen. So stellte sie sich einfach vor, wie es wäre, wenn sie gesund wäre und Chase und sie arbeiten gehen würden.

Chase griff zu dem kleinen Radio, das auf seinem Nachtschrank stand und schaltete die darin befindliche CD leise an. Er wusste, dass der dritte Titel ihr Hochzeitslied war. Sanft zog er beide Decken, die im Bett lagen, über Remy und schloss seinen Arm um sie.
