Anna nickte. Obwohl seine Aussage natürlich vollkommen richtig war, fühlte sie sich sowohl für Remy, als auch für Isobel an, wie ein Schlag in die Magengegend. Isobel fragte sich, ob sie je wieder irgendetwas machen konnte, um House zu unterstützen. Remy dachte daran, wie sie früher alles selbst gemacht hatte, gerne für sich gewesen war und trotzdem irgendwie alles geschafft hatte.

Jack ging es nicht anders als den beiden Frauen, doch er schluckte es einfach hinunter. Er hatte sich damit abgefunden, dass er nie wieder laufen konnte. Zudem musste er unbedingt mit den Erwachsenen sprechen; sie mussten den Kindern von seinen Anfällen erzählen, er hatte Angst, einen zu haben, wenn er mit ihnen allein war und sie dann Panik bekamen.
