Chase lehnte sich draußen an die Wand und sah sich die Bilder von House und Isobel an, die an den Wänden hingen.

Als es krachte, konnte Chase nicht länger warten und ging ohne anzuklopfen nach drinnen, wo er sich gleich neben Isobel kniete.
Er machte ihr keine Vorwürfe, oder bestürmte sie gleich mit Fragen, sondern ließ sie erstmal wieder zu Atem kommen, schob ihr ein zusammengerolltes Handtuch unter den Kopf und nahm ihre Hand. Er hatte solche Situationen oft genug mit Remy erlebt, um zu wissen, wie sehr sie sich selbst hasste.

Isobel schloss für einen Moment ihre Augen. Sie hatte nicht gedacht, dass die Schmerzen noch schlimmer werden konnten, doch genau das musste sie in diesem Moment erleben.

Isobel nickte und versuchte einfach nur die Schmerzen auszuhalten. Ihr war die ganze Situation so peinlich, sie konnte ihn nicht einmal ansehen.
