Sie beruhigte sich gleich, als sie ihn sah und er ihre Hand nahm. Doch seine erste Aussage regte sie dann sofort wieder auf. Er musste sich schon entschuldigen, wenn er nur ein paar Minuten nicht hier war. Er opferte sich doch sowieso schon total für sie auf, durfte er nicht mal selbst frische Luft schnappen, auf die Toilette gehen oder nach den Kindern sehen? Erneut stieg ein Gefühl von Selbsthass in ihr auf.

Chase streichelte ihr durchs Haar und sah ihr dabei in die Augen. Dann erzählte er ihr, wie er Luna dabei beobachtet hatte, wie sie im Nachbargarten Kletterübungen in einem Baum gemacht hatte.
