Mit ihrer Hilfe konnte er eine Stunde ganz tief und ruhig schlafen. Danach drehte er sich wieder einige Male leicht hin und her, ehe er ganz unruhig wurde.

Als Elena zu Hause ankam, ging sie sofort zu Bett und schlief augenblicklich ein.

Am nächsten Morgen ging es Kaminski bereits besser. Zum ersten Mal freute er sich, dass Brenner Dienst war. Er schaffte es, ihn zu überreden, wegen der Überwachung der Vitalzeichen mit Dr. Globisch zu reden und ihm anschließend einen der grünen Anzüge für den OP zu entwenden. Er konnte ja kaum in einem offenen Krankenhausnachthemd durch die Flure laufen und seine verschwitzten Sachen von gestern wollte er auch nicht anziehen.
Nachdem er dann in Ruhe seinen Frühstückstee getrunken hatte, läutete er Brenner erneut und ging, erst als dieser da war ins Bad um sich zu duschen. Wieder angezogen läutete er erneut und ließ sich von Brenner zurück zum Bett begleiten...oder besser gesagt, er ließ ihn daneben stehen, während der ging.
"Tut mir leid, Brenner, aber meine Ärztin hat mir verboten, alleine rumzulaufen!"
