Er nickte:"Ich wünsche Ihnen einen ruhigen Dienst!", damit kehrte er wieder auf die Bank zurück, sah weiter vor sich hin und machte sich seine Gedanken. Irgendwann nickte er schließlich wirklich ein.

Ryan wachte erst am nächsten Morgen wieder auf. Zwar war es noch sehr früh, die letzten Stunden hatte er jedoch tief und fest durch geschlafen.

Ryan erhob und streckte sich kurz. Er legte die Decke zusammen und machte sich dann auf den Weg zu seinem Auto, wo er schon lange eine Tasche mit Wechselklamotten und einem Kulturbeutel hatte.
Er kaufte sich eine Kleinigkeit als Frühstück und einen Kaffee. Danach zog er sich auf eine Toilette der Station zurück, machte eine Katzenwäsche, putzte sich die Zähne und zog sich um.

Mary wurde in der Zwischenzeit aus ihrem Zimmer abgeholt und zu der ersten Bestrahlung gebracht. Schweigend starrte sie bei der Fahrt über den Flur an die Decke.
