Kathleen ging mit ihm in den Raum, nachdem sie den Rollstuhl geholt hatte, woraufhin Mary aufblickte.
"Ryan hat mir von Ihrem Wunsch erzählt. Ist es in Ordnung, wenn er mir etwas hilft, Sie umzusetzen?", fragte sie die junge Frau in dem Bett.
"Dir hat es wohl die Sprache verschlagen?", fragte Mary angestrengt grinsend an ihren Bruder gewandt, da Kathleen das Sprechen übernahm.

Mary nickte zögerlich und sah auf den Rollstuhl. Der Transfer würde weh tun, aber es war wahrscheinlich die letzte Gelegenheit für sie, nach draußen zu kommen.

Als sie wirklich zustimmte grinste er zynisch und half seiner Schwester mit Hilfe der Krankenschwester dann in den Rollstuhl.

Ryan legte eine Decke über seine Schwester, steckte den Sauerstoff um und hängte die Flasche an den Stuhl. Danach schob er dann immer noch schweigend den Stuhl langsam zur Tür:"Naja, ich habe mich gefragt, warum ich Sie nicht schon viel früher kennen gelernt habe.", setzte er noch einen drauf und schob seine Schwester auf den Flur:"Ich bin das ewige Diskutieren wie gesagt leid und mit Ihnen als Telefonjoker könnte ich mir das ersparen!"
