Er überlegte, in der letzten Zeit hatte er das Frühstück immer ausfallen lassen. Mary hatte es damals nicht mitbekommen, sie hat meist noch geschlafen, als er aus dem Haus ging. Seine Frau hatte immer dafür gesorgt, dass er frühstückte und bereitete etwas vor, während er im Bad war. Er hatte nie von ihr verlangt, früh aufzustehen. Doch sie tat es jeden Morgen...zumindest in den guten Zeiten.
