Wie aus Reflex versuchte Ava sofort Ryan am Handy zu erreichen. Natürlich hatte sie damit keinen Erfolg.

Kathleen fuhr so zu sich nach Hause, warf alles Nötige in eine kleine Tasche und fuhr dann wieder zurück zum Flughafen.

Das Flugzeug von Ryan setzte zu dieser Zeit bereits zur Landung an. Wenn alles wie geplant laufen würde, würde er Ava´s Schwager in etwa einer Stunde abfangen können.

Während des Fluges versuchte Kathleen, etwas zu schlafen, um dem Jetlag vorzubeugen, jedoch ohne großen Erfolg.

Nach der Landung stieg Ryan in ein Taxi und ließ sich in die Stadt bringen, in der Ava´s Schwager arbeitete. Es lief alles, wie Ryan es geplant hatte. Auch mit den für ihn möglichen Folgen, hatte Ryan gerechnet. Völlig ausgelaugt und unter starken Schmerzen schleppte er sich nun erneut in ein Taxi. Der Fahrer wollte ihn zunächst in ein Krankenhaus bringen. Doch Ryan verwendete seine Energie dazu, dies abzuwehren und Ava´s Adresse zu nennen.

Ava atmete tief durch, als sie Ryan sah. Sie war einiges gewohnt, von damals, als ihr Mann und er von ihren Einsätzen zurückkehrten. So half sie Ryan nun direkt ins Wohnzimmer und dort auf das Sofa.
