Es widerstrebte ihm, aufzustehen und den Kaffee zu holen, doch es blieb ihm nichts anderes übrig, also stützte er sich auf den Tisch und ging hinüber zur Kaffeemaschine, um die Kannen zum Tisch zu tragen.

Beim Hinsetzen hätte er jedoch fast seinen Teller zerschlagen, weil er mit der Hand von der Tischkante abgerutscht und mit dem Arm daran hängengeblieben war, doch er ließ sich nichts anmerken.
