Chase musterte ihre blasse Erscheinung einen Moment, nickte dann jedoch. "Du hast Recht." Er stand auf und half ihr in ihren Rollstuhl zurück, wobei sie eigentlich nichts selbst machen konnte und nahm noch einmal kurz ihre Hand in seine. Chase lächelte sie an und schob sie zu den anderen, die noch immer in der Küche zusammen saßen und sich unterhielten. Sie blickten auf und drehten sich zu den beiden um. "Wir müssen mit euch reden", verkündete Chase und legte Remy seine Hände auf die Schultern, um sie zu ermutigen.

Chase streichelte Anna grinsend über den Kopf, während House sich zunächst zurückhielt und Remy zuzwinkerte. Ihr Vater hingegen stand auf und nahm seine Tochter fest in den Arm. "Es ist die richtige Entscheidung", flüsterte er ihr ins Ohr und lächelte.

Chase brachte Remy in ihr Zimmer und legte sie bequem in ihr Bett, dann streichelte er ihr kurz über die Wange. "Geht es dir besser?", fragte er sie besorgt; sie war noch immer sehr blass und wirkte genauso müde wie am Vortag, obwohl ihr die Verlobung wohl wieder etwas Kraft gegeben hatte.
