Vielleicht lag es daran, dass er bereits viel mehr durchgemacht hatte als sie. Aber manchmal ging er ihr mit seiner Schwarzmalerei und depressiver Stimmung auf die Nerven. Sie sagte jetzt nichts, da sie ihn in Richtung sterbender Sohn gedrängt hatte, wünschte sich jedoch einfach, dass er auch sonst ein bisschen mehr im Jetzt leben würde.

Elena brachte die übrigen beiden Teller mit und machte es sich dann mit Kaminski auf dem Sofa bequem. "Guten Appetit", meinte sie und sah nach einer Weile Jack beim Essen zu. "Nächste Woche sind sechs Wochen um. Dann hast du wenigstens wieder einen Arm gipsfrei", lächelte sie ihn an.
