House zog ihr die Bettdecke höher, als sie zu zittern begann und legte dann einen Arm um sie. Die Halskrause verlieh ihr ein noch zerbrechlicheres Aussehen. Vorsichtig streichelte er seine Freundin.

Nach einer weiteren Stunde setzte er sich neben ihr Bett und suchte im Internet nach alternativen Behandlungsmethoden bei Querschnittslähmung und Schmerzsyndromen.

Als House das Bett verließ, öffnete sie kurz ihre Augen, schlief dann jedoch sofort weiter.

Nach einer Weile klappte House den Laptop zu, ließ jedoch die Seiten, auf denen er gelesen hatte, noch geöffnet. Im Sitzen schloss er die Augen, er brauchte eine Pause von alledem.

Nach etwa weiteren zwei Stunden, wurde Isobel langsam wieder wach und blinzelte einige Male, ehe sie sich im Zimmer umsah.
