Am frühen Morgen wachte Kaminski schließlich wieder auf. Kopfschmerzen plagten ihn, als er ganz langsam aufstand und ins Bad ging. Nachdem er sich geduscht und rasiert, sowie frisch angezogen hatte, merkte er, wie der Schwindel und die Übelkeit in ihm aufstiegen. Er nahm nocheinmal kurz am Sofa Platz und wählte Elena´s Nummer.

Elena und Jack hatten noch geschlafen, als Elenas Handy klingelte. Sobald sie wach genug war, stellte sie den Ton ab und wankte nach draußen vor die Tür, damit wenigstens Jack noch etwas schlafen konnte. "Morgen", murmelte sie dann, mit noch geschlossenen Augen in das Telefon.

Er nickte:"Natürlich! Entschuldige bitte, dass ich dich geweckt habe!", damit legte er auf, nahm ein Oberteil für Elena aus dem Schrank und packte es ein. Danach nahm er sich ein Taxi, setzte seine Sonnenbrille auf und ließ sich dann in die Klinik bringen.

Kurze Zeit später kam Kaminski mit einem Kaffee und einem Brötchen für Elena und einem Tee für sich zurück zu den beiden. In dem Zimmer stellte er alles ab. Sah kurz zu Jack und küsste dann Elena. Seine Sonnenbrille hatte er in seine Innentasche gesteckt als er das Krankenhaus betrat.
