Jack sah Liz an; er konnte nur schwer einschätzen, wie sie sich wirklich fühlte, da er sie in der vergangenen Woche nicht gesehen hatte und vorhin nicht zum Reden gekommen war.

Liz setzte sich auf das Bett, in das Lisa sich bereits gekuschelt hatte:"Hör mal, Mäuschen, mir geht es gerade nicht gut. Die Entlassung am Morgen, dann musste ich noch etwas erledigen, dann das Kochen und die letzten Tage bin ich fast nur gelegen. Ich muss mich jetzt hinlegen und muss das Sauerstoffgerät anmachen. Du kennst das Gerät von deiner Mama. Es sieht schlimmer aus, als es ist und es hilft mir, aber wenn es dir Angst macht, solltest du lieber zu deinem Papa gehen!", das viele Reden strengte Liz noch zusätzlich an, aber sie wollte den Mädchen alles erklären, bevor sie Angst bekamen.
