Tonks hatte es schon bald satt, erneut in dem nassen Gestrüpp zu sitzen und auf jemanden zu warten, der ohnehin nicht auftauchen würde.

Als er erneut wach wurde, holte er aus einem seiner alten Bücher ein Bild. Es zeigte seine Freund und sich zur Schulzeit. Es war ihr letzter Ferientag in diesem Jahr gewesen. Sirius trug wie immer seine Lederjacke, James und Peter waren modern gekleidet, am Rand stand er selbst, in grauen, älteren Klamotten. Doch keiner schien sich wie immer dafür zu interessieren. Die vier scherzten miteinander und lachten aus tiefsten Herzen.

Als Tonks schließlich das Gefühl hatte, keine trockene Stelle mehr am Leib zu haben, ging sie in die Scheune, in die Remus geflüchtet war.

Remus atmete tief durch, legte seine wenigen Sachen auf einen Haufen und schrumpfte sie erneut zusammen.
Nachdem er das Bett frisch gemacht hatte und Tonks den Frühstückstisch vorbereitet hatte, legte er einen Zettel dazu. Er schrieb nicht mehr als:"Vielen Dank für Alles, aber ich kann dir das nicht weiter zumuten!"
Danach packte er seine Sachen ein und apparierte kurze Zeit später vor den Häusern am Grimmauldplatz. Wenige Minuten später stand er vor der großen Haustür von Nummer 12 und klopfte an. Er merkte, dass Tonks auf jeden Fall recht gehabt hatte und er am besten liegen sollte.
