Auf der Station wurde so weiter das Essen an die anderen Patienten verteilt.
Da die Schwester jedoch Amys Aussage, dass sie mit Chase gegessen hatte, etwas anzweifelte, sprach sie den Arzt darauf an, der etwas parenterale Ernährung anordnete.
So hängte die Schwester Amy die Infusion an, nachdem der Essteller wieder abgeräumt war.

Als es endlich Nachmittag war und Chase mit den Kindern bei Amy ankam, war der Beutel zur Hälfte durchgelaufen und man hatte Amy erneut in den Rollstuhl heraus gesetzt.

Chase klopfte, kam herein und legte Amy dann von hinten seine Arme um den Brustkorb, ehe er sie auf die Wange küsste.

Nach dem ersten großen Ansturm warf Chase Amy ihre Mütze in ihren Schoß. "Wir dachten, wir gehen heute etwas mit dir raus?!", meinte er. Wegen der Chemo war das vorerst, wie sie selbst wusste, die wahrscheinlich letzte Gelegenheit.
