So wie Amy an alle dachten, dachten auch die anderen an Amy. Chase beschäftigte sich zwar lieb mit seinen Mädchen und war auch bei der Sache, dachte aber dennoch oft an seine Freundin, die im Krankenhaus lag und jetzt sicher Schmerzen von dem Gift in ihren Gefäßen hatte.

Kathleen aß früh zu Mittag, um dann gleich zu ihrer Schwester aufbrechen zu können.

Amy hielt ihre Augen geschlossen. Sie war so erschöpft wie schon lange nicht mehr, konnte jedoch wegen der starken Übelkeit und dem ständigen Frieren nicht schlafen.
