Komischerweise versetzte dieses Lächeln auf ihrem ausgezehrten Gesicht ihm einen Stich. Am liebsten hätte er sie jetzt in den Arm genommen und ein paar Tränen vergossen. Aber er musste für die drei neben ihm stark sein. Amy würde gesund werden, die Chemotherapie und Bestrahlung würde den Tumor verschwinden lassen und dann konnten sie endlich so leben, wie sie wollten.

Amy sah zu Robert und musterte ihn. Bei seiner Aussage verschwandt das sanfte Lächeln aus ihrem Gesicht wieder. Sie glaubte nicht daran, dass sie irgendwann wieder mit den Mädchen spielen konnte.
