"Aber der Arzt doch nicht", meinte Chase, ließ sie dann aber lieber in Ruhe.
Während die beiden das Bein eingipsten, musterte Chase es immer abwechselnd mit Lisas Arm. Beide konnte sie in den nächsten Wochen nicht bewegen und der Gips reichte von ihren Zehen bis zur Hüfte. Das alles würde nicht gerade einfach werden.
Außerdem glaubte er nicht, dass sie wusste, dass das jetzt so blieb. Sie dachte sicher, dass das nur der Behandlung hier im Krankenhaus diente und sie dann normal wieder nach Hause gehen konnte.

Nach fast einer dreiviertel Stunde war der Gips endlich fertig und soweit ausgehärtet, dass die lila Binde darum gewickelt werden konnte. Chase wurde noch banger, als er sah, dass es ein Liegegips war.

Chase stellte noch die eine Fußstütze so ein, dass ihr im Knie leicht gebeugt eingegipstes Bein darauf hoch lag, dann hob er seine Tochter vorsichtig in den Stuhl und legte ihr Bein hoch.
