Schließlich fuhr Kathleen wieder in Richtung Krankenhaus, wobei sie unterwegs beim Bäcker anhielt, um zwei belegte Baguettes zu kaufen.

Ryan hatte sich schließlich in sein Auto zurück gezogen. Er war erschöpft gewesen, da er die letzte Nacht schon nicht gut geschlafen hatte, durch den Alkohol hatte er es dann geschaft, sich trotz der Kälte und den Regen in den Schlaf zu weinen.
