Ryan betrachtete das Haus. Sofort erinnerte er sich wieder daran, wie seine Frau und die Kinder ihn begrüßt hatten, wenn er von seinen Einsetzen zurück war. Er hörte förmlich ihre Stimmen und das Lachen, die schnellen Schritte seiner Kinder, die Arme seiner Frau, die sich um ihn schlungen.
