Chase hatte gleich zu Anfang gesehen, dass Anna ein Pferd malte, riet aber: "Hund?" und blickte angestrengt überlegend drein, so auch House.

Remy richtete sich etwas auf und atmete einmal tief durch. Ganz langsam stand sie vom Sofa auf und machte sich Schritt für Schritt auf den Weg ins Bad. Das das Medikament und seine Nebenwirkungen sie noch schwächer war, als sie eh schon geworden war, wurde langsam wirklich zum Problem. Als sie am Zimmereck ankam, bemerkte sie, wie ihre Kraft immer mehr und mehr schwandt, so konnte sie sich nur noch an dem Flügel von House festhalten. Etwas unsanft lehnte sie sich mit letzter Kraft daran.
"Was war das?", meinte Anna sofort ängstlich, ihr waren die Geräusche aus dem Nebenzimmer nicht entgangen.

Chase stand langsam auf, um keine Panik zu verbreiten, räusperte sich und ging zur Tür. "Ich geh nachschauen, ob alles in Ordnung ist", erklärte er und verschwand.
Er ging ins Wohnzimmer und blickte zuerst zum Sofa, entdeckte Remy dann jedoch am Flügel lehnen. Er kam zu ihr und nahm sie ihn den Arm. "Setz dich runter, komm", meinte er so ruhig wie möglich und ließ sich mit ihr auf den Boden gleiten, wo er sie an sich lehnte. "Du hättest rufen können... Geht es wieder?"

Remy blickte kurz zu ihm auf:"Chase du bist noch so jung...du solltest eine normale Freundin haben...mit der du weggehen und feiern kannst, tanzen, alles was du willst eben. Stattdessen sitzt du hier mit mir auf dem Boden meiner Wohnung, die ich mit unserem Chef und meiner Tochter bewohne, weil ich nicht mal mehr alleine aufs Klo gehen kann!"
