"Gute Nacht!", gab sie zurück und sah ihm nach. Die Tränen stiegen ihr in die Augen, während sie nicht aufhörte, ihren Bauch zu streicheln. Schlafen konnte sie obwohl sie es aufgrund ihrer ständigen Erschöpfung sehr nötig hatte lange nicht.

House ließ sich auf dem Sofa nieder, zog eine Decke über sich und schloss die Augen. Auch er konnte lange nicht schlafen, tat es aber dann nach einer Weile, in der es ganz still in der Wohnung war, doch.

Isobel lag noch lange wach, es war furchtbar nicht schlafen, sich aber auch nicht drehen zu können. Zudem war es wegen der Schwangerschaft natürlich sowieso immer schwerer, ihre Lage ausreichend zu verändern, da die Bauchlage bereits nicht mehr möglich war und auch das Liegen auf dem Rücken immer schwerer wurde.

Am nächsten Morgen waren die Kinder wie immer zuerst wach. Nach einer Weile nahm Anna ihre Schwester an die Hand und ging mit ihr ins Bad.
Als Isobel gerade endlich eingeschlafen war ereilte sie bald der erste Krampf. Mit der Hilfe von House konnte dieser nach langer Zeit etwas gemindert werden. Darauf hin schliefen beide ein paar Stunden und alles wiederholte sich. Erneut konnten die beiden somit erst als es draußen hell wurde wieder richtig einschlafen.

House war nach dem zweiten Krampf neben Isobel liegen geblieben und lag deshalb nun halb schräg und bäuchlings auf dem Bett.

Nachdem die Mädchen im Bad fertig waren, läutete der Wecker von Liz. Die Mädchen standen, wenn sie frei hatten schließlich immer ungefähr um diese Uhrzeit auf und sollten nicht zu lange alleine sein. So streckte sich Liz jetzt und schaltete den Wecker wieder aus.
