"Ich mache es ab morgen wieder?!", meinte er unsicher. Er wollte gerne bei seiner Kleinen sein und sie füttern wie eh und je, aber er hatte inzwischen wirklich starke Schmerzen. Für den vierten postoperativen Tag war er heute einfach schon zu viel auf den Beinen gewesen. Erschöpft lehnte er sich somit kurz an der Wand an und atmete mit geschlossenen Augen tief durch.

"Gute Nacht, meine Süße", meinte er leise und küsste sein Baby aufs Köpfchen.
Dann trat er den mühsamen Weg zurück ins Schlafzimmer an, wo er sich mit einem unterdrückten Stöhnen schließlich aufs Bett setzte und sein Bein nach oben hob. Obwohl er sicher war, dass Remy schlief, versuchte er möglichst leise zu sein.
Als er neben ihr lag, griff er in seine Hosentasche, holte seine Schmerztabletten heraus und nahm zwei.

Isobel fütterte Lisa, spielte noch kurz mit ihr und brachte sie dann ins Bett. Danach sah sie nach Anna und lass mit ihr zusammen eine Geschichte.

Als er einige Minuten einigermaßen ruhig gesessen hatte, fing er damit an, seine Hose auszuziehen, was sich erstens im Sitzen sehr schwierig gestaltete und zweitens noch schwieriger wurde, da er sich Mühe gab, leise zu sein.
Irgendwann hatte er es dennoch geschafft und ließ sich umgezogen neben seine Frau fallen. Er wusste nicht, wie ihre Nächte zur Zeit waren, aber er vermutete nichts Gutes. Deshalb hoffte er umso mehr, dass er ihr trotz allem würde helfen können. Seinen Arm um sie gelegt schlief er erst nach einer ganzen Weile ein.

Nach einer Weile schliefen Lisa, Anna und Remy fest. Isobel machte sich auf die Suche nach ihrem Freund und fand ihn schließlich im Bad:"Hier hast du dich versteckt!", meinte sie und grinste ihn an.
