Als ob es dazugehören würde, fuhr sie nach der ersten OP mit einer Prostata-OP fort, da ihr der Erzählstoff ausging. Aber sie wusste, dass es ihm egal sein würde, Hauptsache es war bildlich genug und er konnte das Desinfektionsmittel und den Geruch nach verbranntem Fleisch, den man aus dem OP kannte, regelrecht in der Nase spüren.

Ohne ihn erst um Erlaubnis zu fragen, zog sie ihm frische Sachen an, nachdem sie seinen Oberkörper abgewaschen hatte und legte seinen Arm in die Bandage. "Diesmal bleibe ich bei dir", versprach sie dann, als sie ihn auf das Sofa gebettet und in eine Decke gewickelt hatte, unter der eine Wärmflasche steckte.

Er fühlte sich sofort wieder wohler, als er frisch gewaschen und umgezogen war. Die wohltuende Wärme unter der Decke trug ihr übriges dazu bei.
