Elena war in der Nacht kurz wach gewesen. Ihr Blick lag in der Dunkelheit auf ihm und seine ruhigen Atemzüge ließen sie wieder einschlafen, auch wenn sie an ihr Gespräch denken musste. Sie wollte sich nicht vorstellen, was er tat, sollte sie tatsächlich einen Unfall oder eine Krankheit haben. Ausschließen konnten sie das leider nicht.

Kaminski richtete sich auf und nahm auf der Bettkante Platz. Er gab seinem Kreislauf die Gelegenheit, sich zu stabilisieren und küsste sie kurz auf die Wange. Dann stand er auf und machte ihr in der Küche Frühstück zurecht.
