"Mhhh!", grummelte er nur, schloß die Augen und drehte sich wieder um. Das erstaunliche daran war, dass es ihn nicht nur störte, dass sie schon wieder zu wissen glaubte, was er tun und lassen sollte. Es war für ihn schon so etwas wie ein Ritual, dass er ihr Frühstück machte, während sie sich im Bad zurecht machte und er dann noch die kurze Zeit mit ihr verbrachte, ehe er sich den ganzen Tag alleine mehr oder weniger sinnlosen Dingen hingab bis sie wieder nach Hause kam.

Elena streichelte ihm noch einige Male sanft durchs Haar, ehe sie sich von der Bettkante erhob und ins Bad ging. Sie wollte ihn nicht ärgern, sie wusste nur, dass man nicht wieder richtig tief einschlafen konnte, wenn man einmal aufgestanden war.

Elena aß rasch eine Kleinigkeit und packte sich für später etwas ein, ehe sie zur Arbeit aufbrach.

Kaminski schlief noch ein paar Stunden, ehe er aufstand und sich duschte. Danach rasierte er sich und begann zu kochen. Danach würde er sich an den Laptop setzen und sich wegen Therapien seiner Hand umsehen.

Es war wieder mal ein rasanter Arbeitstag. Schlaganfall, Sturz vom Dach, Auffahrunfall... Sie kamen gar nicht dazu, zwischendurch Luft zu holen.

Kaminski hatte fertig gekocht und strich sich über das Gesicht. Er öffnete das Fenster und ließ seinen Blick kurz über die Häuser schweifen.

So ruhig, wie Kaminski es hatte, wagte Elena noch nicht einmal zu träumen. 11 Uhr aß sie schnell einen Müsliriegel, ehe es auch schon weiterging.

Nach dem Mittag wurde es endlich besser. Die Ärzte halfen noch mit Kleinigkeiten in der Notaufnahme aus.

Nach zwei Stunden legte Kaminski seine Brille zur Seite. Es half nichts, er fand nicht Mal ansatzweise irgendetwas, was seine Lage verbessern könnte. Sie mussten sich damit abfinden.
