Langsam fragte er sich, ob er das wollte. Wollte er das alles wieder durchmachen und weiter machen, nur damit danach die nächsten Katastrophen über sie kamen? War es feige, fast schon zu hoffen, dass es zu viel wurde? War das egoistisch Elena und Jack gegenüber? Oder wäre es auch für die beiden nur eine Erleichterung?

Kaminski war mittlerer Weile so kalt, als wäre es mitten im Winter und sie würden im Eiswasser baden. Es breitete sich trotz der Wärmflasche eine fast schon schmerzhafte Gänsehaut auf seinem ganzen Körper aus, während sein Schlafanzug bereits wieder an ihm klebte.

Ohne Aufforderung, oder einen näheren Blick zu ihm, lehnte Elena ihren Kopf seitlich an seine Brust und fing an, irgendeine OP herunterzubeten. Sie wusste, dass es das einzig wirklich Wirksame bei ihm war, damit es ihm etwas besser ging.
