Er nickte erneut und wandte sich zur Tür um. "Ruhen Sie sich etwas aus, versuchen Sie zu schlafen. Ich schreibe Ihnen ein Beruhigungsmittel für den Bedarf auf", erklärte er nur, bevor er ging. Er wusste, sie würde nie darum bitten, wenn er es ihr nicht anbot und glaubte nicht, dass sie gut schlafen würde, wegen allem Möglichen: Den Schmerzen, der Angst und der Unfähigkeit, sich auf der Matratze zu bewegen.

Die beiden Männer unterhielten sich flüsternd, da sie nicht sicher waren, ob Remy einfach eingeschlafen war.
"Ich denke, Isobel braucht etwas Zeit für sich. Aber ich will nicht nach Hause fahren", gab House zu und sah ihn an.
Chase wiederum sah zu seiner Frau. "Du kannst hierbleiben, wenn du willst. Dann fahr ich ein paar Stunden nach Hause. Nur, wenn du mich sofort anrufst, wenn etwas ist", schlug er vor.
"Denkst du, das ist okay für Remy?"
Chase nickte. "Ich glaube schon." Er sah erneut zu ihr. "Sie will nicht, dass ich die Kinder vernachlässige. Und ich will das auch nicht, aber..."
House nickte. "Ich versteh schon."
