"Als ich noch sehr jung war, hatten meine Eltern einen Unfall. Ich bin bei meinen Großeltern aufgewachsen. Milo hatte ich schon damals. Irgendwann wurde meine Oma krank und brauchte Pflege und Medikamente. Um alles finanzieren zu können, bin ich neben der Schule Arbeiten gegangen soviel ich konnte. Ich hätte mich einfach nicht mehr richtig um Milo kümmern können. Die Familie wo er jetzt wohnt, macht das zwar auch nicht, bis auf eine der Töchter...aber er hat dort alles und ich nehme ihn meist mit, wenn ich mit meinen Nachbarshunden raus gehe... Irgendwann ist meine Oma schließlich gestorben und die Beerdigung musste finanziert werden. Jetzt ist mein Opa im Heim, die Beerdigung ist noch nicht ganz bezahlt...", sprudelte es schließlich aus ihr heraus.

Jacks Hand schloss sich sanft um ihre, seine Augen ruhten in ihren. Er sagte nichts, glaubte jedoch auch nicht, dass sie das störte. Er wollte einfach nur bei ihr sein und nicht das kaputt oder schön reden, was sie ihm anvertraut hatte.
