Nach einer Weile, in der er sich gegen den Schlaf gewehrt hatte, konnte er es nicht mehr und schlief einfach ein.

Elena war beinahe froh, als er einschlief. Ihr Mund war schon ganz trocken vom vielen Sprechen, weshalb sie einen Schluck aus ihrer Wasserflasche nahm, ehe sie sich wieder neben ihn kuschelte.

Kaminski genoss ihre Nähe und ihre Wärme, was ihn gleich noch besser schlafen ließ. Zudem war er völlig erschöpft, somit schlief er vorerst, ohne jeden Traum.

Auch Elena zog es jetzt, da es so ruhig und warm war, erneut die Augen zu. Diesmal konnte sie nichts dagegen tun und schlief auch tatsächlich ein.

In den nächsten Wochen erhielt Kaminski weiterhin regelmäßig seine Chemotherapie, während Jack bei Pia immer weiter Fortschritte machte.
So konnte der Junge auch einige Zeit nach seinem Opa, der sich von den Behandlungen langsam erholte, aus dem Krankenhaus entlassen werden.
Elena ging mittlerweile wieder Arbeiten, da es beiden soweit gut ging, auch wenn sie noch geschwächt und eingeschränkt waren.
Jack musste zunächst mit dem Wohnzimmer Vorlieb nehmen, doch Elena und Rolf taten alles, damit es ihm an nichts fehlte und gaben sich Mühe, Kaminskis Büro Stück für Stück in ein Zimmer für Jack zu verwandeln.
