Doch er wusste, dass er so wenig wie möglich tun würde. Es war ihm nicht entgangen, wie sie ihn ansah, wenn er mit seinen Gedanken zu lange bei seiner Familie war, wenn er in seinen traurigen Gedanken zu versinken schien oder zu negative Äußerungen von sich gab.
