Chase war fast am Ende seiner Erzählung angekommen, doch immer, wenn er sie ansah, schlief sie noch immer nicht. Sie brauchte heute wirklich ungewöhnlich lange, um in den Schlaf zu gleiten.

Remy fühlte sich durch seine Stimme und seine Worte so geborgen, dass sie es langsam doch schaffte einzuschlafen. Viel zu lange, war er nicht bei ihr gewesen.
