Isobel schüttelte ihren Kopf und begann den Tisch abzuräumen. Sie hatte keine Lust Jack zu besuchen, da er ihr in der letzten Zeit so viel an den Kopf geschmissen hatte. Die Fahrt dort hin, mit welchen Fortbewegungsmittel auch immer, mit House zuverbringen, wenn sie Streit hatten, wäre noch um einiges schlimmer.

House ging ins Schlafzimmer und zog sich seine Jeans an. Er wusste, dass sie Schmerzen hatte, anderenfalls wäre sie nicht im Rollstuhl zu ihm gekommen. Aber wenn sie nicht wollte, dass er um sie war, dann musste er das wohl akzeptieren.
Bevor er ging, machte er ihr das Gelkissen in der Mikrowelle warm und legte es dann Isobel über Schultern und Rücken. "Bis später." Zum Abschied drückte er nur kurz ihren Arm, ohne ihr ins Gesicht zu sehen.
