Schließlich half House Isobel beim Anziehen und machte sich dann selbst zurecht.

Liz putzte sich noch ihre Zähne und machte sich dann eine schöne Frisur, um sich wenigstens etwas wohl zu fühlen. Ihr Spiegelbild zeigte ihr schließlich, wie schlecht sie aussah. Die Augenringe hatte sie überschminken können. Doch das war auch ziemlich das einzige. Ihre Blässe konnte sie nicht durch Makeup kaschieren, da sie sich nicht nur auf das Gesicht bezog. Sie gab sich, da sie Kopfschmerzen und eine leichte Übelkeit verspürte, noch einen kurzen Moment und machte sich dann auf den Weg zurück zu Jack´s Zimmer, um dort nach Lisa zu sehen. Dort angekommen, lehnte sie sich an die Tür und holte tief Luft.

Als das Bad frei wurde, sagte House Isobel, sie solle schonmal vor gehen. Er selbst ging zu Liz und legte ihr einen Arm um die Taille. "Komm, setz dich schonmal in die Küche. Du brauchst deine Kraft für nachher", meinte er leise zu ihr.

Liz nickte und nahm dann in der Küche Platz. Als House außer Sichtweite war, legte sie ihren Kopf in ihre Hände. Erneut bemühte sie sich tief Luft zu holen und bemerkte dabei erneut, auf welche Seite sie gestern gefallen sein musste.

"Ja, ich weiß. Darüber müssen wir nachher noch mit ihr reden", nickte er. Er wollte ihr den Rollstuhl nicht aufzwingen, aber er wollte auch nicht, dass sie schon einem Kreislaufzusammenbruch nahe bei Jack ankam. Allein sein Anblick würde das vermutlich in ihr auslösen.

Die beiden wurden, da Isobel einen Vorsprung hatte, fast zeitgleich fertig. House half Isobel dann noch bei den Sachen, die sie nicht alleine erledigen konnte. Danach kehrten die beiden in die Küche zu Liz zurück, die mittlerer Weile aus dem Fenster sah, mit ihren Gedanken jedoch ganz wo anders war.
