Isobel war froh, dass er seine Gedanken in diesem Moment nicht aussprach. Er sollte jetzt nicht Arzt sein. Sie war im Moment auch nicht Krankenschwester. Aus ihr sprach eine liebende Mutter. Auch wenn sie natürlich wusste, was auf sie zukommen würde.

Nachdem die Ärztin ihnen gratuliert hatte, führten sie ein langes, ernsthaftes Gespräch.
Als sie eine halbe Stunde später die Räumlichkeiten verließen, hatte Isobel, wie schon prophezeit, ein Rezept für Paracetamol sowie dreimal wöchentlich Massagen und Fangopackungen zu ihrer Krankengymnastik dazu.

Isobel versuchte immer noch, alles zu verstehen. Sie spielte den bisherigen Tag immer wieder in ihren Gedanken ab und realisierte alles Stück für Stück richtig.
