Isobel nahm das Wasserglas und leerte es zur Hälfte. Die Schmerzen waren zeitweise fast nicht auszuhalten, doch das war ihr egal. Sie wollte einfach nur alles für das Baby tun.

Tom hatten sie natürlich sagen müssen, dass Isobel schwanger war, damit er seinen Therapieplan anpassen konnte. So nickte er jetzt nur, half ihr in eine andere Position und begann dann mit der Behandlung, wobei er sie auch nebenbei etwas beobachtete. "Wieder schlimme Krämpfe gehabt letzte Nacht?", fragte er nach einer Weile, in der er ihre Beine ausgestrichen hatte.
