"Wie du möchtest!", damit stieg sie aus und ging schnellen Schrittes zu ihrer Haustür. Weil sie sich so beeilte, blieb sie bereits an der kleinen Türschwelle mit ihrem Fuß hängen, fluchte kurz und machte schloss dann die Tür hinter sich.

Chase folgte Amy mit seinem Blick, wobei ihm ihr Stolpern natürlich nicht entgehen konnte. Aber da sie auf solche Fragen allergisch reagierte, hatte er sich bisher nicht getraut, sich bei ihr zu erkundigen, ob sie von den Bänderrissen im Fuß noch etwas spürte.

Amy nahm immer gleich ein paar Treppen auf einmal. Als sie die Wohnungstür geschlossen hatte, fielen bereits die ersten Kleidungsstücke zu Boden. Im Bad angekommen stieg sie unter die Dusche.
Als sie fertig war, legte sie sich ein Handtuch um und ging ins Schlafzimmer, wo sie sich frisch anzog. Bis sie etwas gefunden hatte, das man noch als "frisch" bezeichnen konnte, wanderten einige Kleidungsstücke zurück auf den Boden, da sie gewaschen werden mussten, oder verknittert waren.
Schließlich föhnte sie ihr Haar, legte ihr übliches leichtes Makeup auf, griff nach dem Geschenk für das Mädchen und stand kurz darauf auch schon wieder vor ihrer Haustür.

"Viel los zur Zeit. Mein Chef hat einen Großauftrag an Land gezogen. Eine Familie hat ein neues Haus gebaut und lässt nun viel von der Einrichtung bei uns anfertigen. Wenn er zufrieden ist, bekommen wir auch noch den Auftrag für Balkon und Gartenlaube. Deshalb bin ich heute auch etwas länger geblieben und habe den Esstisch fertig gemacht!", erzählte sie dann ganz aufgeregt.
