Jack fing nun wirklich mit dem Krafttraining für seine Arme und den verschiedenen Bewegungsübungen, die er allein durchführen konnte, an.

Als Jack fertig war, blieb er noch eine Weile am Fenster sitzen und sah hinaus.

Liz brauchte noch etwas länger. Als sie schließlich jedoch fertig war, war ihr Gewissen wenigstens etwas beruhigt.

Wenig später kam Chase mit den Kindern zurück und die fünf aßen gemeinsam.
Die nächsten Tage wurden sehr eintönig für Chase. Er war viel arbeiten und übernahm zusätzliche Dienste, damit ihm keine Zeit dazu blieb, über sich und Amy nachzudenken.
Diese wiederum hatte mittlerweile mit ihrer Physio für den kranken Fuß begonnen, was jedoch für sie in den Hintergrund rückte, da ihr erster Bestrahlungstermin nun am nächsten Tag stattfand.
An diesem Vorabend war Kathleen spät bei ihr, um sie wenigstens etwas ablenken zu können und lag mit ihr im Bett, wo die beiden Fern sahen.
