Das habe ich mich auch gefragt, als ich die Zeremonie sah! Aber Stephen ist ja sowas wie Familie Ich hoffe mal, dass seine Frau irgendwo im Hintergrund stand.

So wie ich Hugh einschätze, verzichtet er gerne darauf seine Familie und damit auch diesen Teil des Privatlebens in der Öffentlichkeit zu präsentieren.

Er wird für seine Verdiente im Show Business geehrt, nicht weil er als Familienvater den Müll rausgebracht hat

My impression is that in the early House years, Hugh's wife, Jo, attended many events, flying from London to LA, sometimes with Stephen Fry. Then as the opportunity for fan comments increased, there were those who posted critical insults on her appearance (I think she's lovely, and consider it bad form to post negative comments on a non-performer's appearance). As time went on, she seemed not present, but I learned that she was often with Hugh, but not visible. The last photo I saw (sorry, don't have link) was a dinner for cast and director/producers for The Night Manager premiere. Jo Green Laurie was at the table, with a happy smile. So I would imagine she was present at Walk of Fame in LA where she and Hugh have a home, but not in a place where she would be photographed. Just IMHO. :
