Die Schwester kontrollierte noch Amys Vitalwerte, ehe ein Arzt zu ihr kam und ihr den Zugang legte.

Amy ließ alles einfach mit sich geschehen. Sie wollte einfach, dass die Therapie begann. Umso schneller wusste sie, was genau auf sie zukam und natürlich war auch umso schneller ein Ende in Sicht.

Schließlich nannte der Arzt ihr alle Eventualitäten, bei denen sie sich sofort melden sollte, während er ihr die Infusion anschloss. Er blieb die ersten Minuten kurz bei ihr, ehe er zur nächsten Patientin, die neben Amy saß und kaum älter als sie war, weiterging.

Als der Arzt weg war, griff Amy in die Tasche und nahm ihren MP3 Player heraus. Sie steckte sich ihre Kopfhörer in die Ohren und schloss ihre Augen.

In regelmäßigen Abständen ging die Schwester herum und kümmerte sich um die Patienten. Einige waren, genau wie Amy, zum ersten Mal hier. Andere hatten schon einige Sitzungen hinter sich.

Nach einiger Zeit wurde Amy mit einem Mal sehr kalt. Sie zog ihre Beine an und versuchte das Zittern zu kontrollieren-

Ein paar Minuten später war die Schwester wieder bei ihr und breitete eine Decke über sie.

Amy bedankte sich und verkniff sich ein Augenrollen. Am liebsten wäre sie ganz alleine in einer kleinen Kammer gelegen.
