Eine Schwester stellte ihr eine Nierenschale und Zellstoff hin und legte ihr die Klingel in Griffweite, ehe Amy erneut allein blieb.

Amy bemühte sich tief durch zuatmen und sich darauf zu konzentrieren. Es lenkte sie von der unwahrscheinlichen Kälte ab.

Trotz der Ablenkung schlich sich immer wieder Amy in Kathleens Gedenken. Wie schlimm musste es wohl sein, sich nicht einmal bewegen zu können, wenn man sich am liebsten krümmen wollte?

Nach einer Weile stieg die Übelkeit langsam in Amy auf.

Da Amy noch eingeschränkter war als viele andere Patienten, die eine Chemo bekamen, sah die Schwester in regelmäßigen Abständen nach ihr.
Als sie ihr Zittern sah, zog sie ihr die Decke höher und legte ihr noch eine weitere auf den Körper.

Irgendwann konnte Amy es schließlich nicht mehr zurück halten und übergab sich. Aufgrund ihre Bewegungseinschränkung schaffte sie es nicht rechtzeitig, sich die Nierenschale vorzuhalten.

Als die Schwester das nächste Mal nach ihr sah, bemerkte sie das Malheur und machte Amy frisch, ehe sie auch die Bettdecke neu überzog. "Klingeln Sie das nächste Mal ruhig, sowas passiert, es ist nicht schlimm", meinte sie lieb.
