Amy sah ihm fragend nach, zuckte dann für sich mit den Schultern und dachte an Chase. Warum war er erneut, ohne mit ihr zu sprechen zu Wilson gegangen? Er kannte sie doch mittlerer Weile gut genug um zu wissen, was sie davon hielt.

Amy schwieg nun. Die Art der Unterhaltung mit Wilson, die Tatsache, dass Chase sie erneut hintergangen hatte, dazu die Nebenwirkungen der Chemo. Das alles machte sie fertig. Sie stellte für sich selbst fest, dass die Tatsache, dass die Ärzte dachten, es könnte vielleicht wieder schlimmer um sie stehen, sie am wenigsten belastete. Mittlerer Weile war sie so weit, dass sie nicht wusste, ob sie so weiterleben wollte, wenn sich ihr Zustand nicht besserte.

Schließlich wurden das Schädel-CT bei Amy durchgeführt und sie anschließend wieder in ihr Zimmer gebracht, wo die Schwester sie gleich für die Nacht fertig machte und lagerte.

Wilson kam fast zwei Stunden später zu ihr zurück und lächelte sie an. "Gute Nachrichten. Kein neuer Tumor und die Chemo tut ihr Übriges. Die Ränder, die wir bei der OP nicht entfernen konnten, sind deutlich kleiner geworden."
