Kathleen fühlte sich erneut fehl am Platz. Immer wenn die vier so intim miteinander waren, wurde sie erneut daran erinnert, dass sie quasi zu Ryans Familie gehörten und sie ihn erst seit kurzem kannte und fast nichts über ihn wusste.

Ava´s Sohn war schon bald wieder eingeschlafen und Emily beruhigte sich immer mehr. Nach dem Ende bedankte sich Ava bei Ryan und kehrte mit Emily ins Wohnzimmer zurück.

Ryan musterte sie und hätte ihr nur zu gerne gesagt, dass SIE wunderschön war.
"Wirklich? Wenn es dir gefallen hat, dann warte erstmal, bis ich wieder Gitarre spielen kann. Das heute war nur die Einsatzversion...", er atmete tief durch:"Mein Freund und ich haben es unseren Kindern fast jeden Abend gemeinsam vorgesungen. Außer natürlich, wenn wir Verbot hatten. Wenn wir keinen Empfang hatten, haben wir uns das Telefon der Truppe ausgeliehen...", er pausierte an dieser Stelle erneut kurz:"Ava und meine Frau haben uns ein Mal gestanden, dass die Abende, an denen wir uns nicht melden konnten, die schlimmsten waren. Nicht nur, dass die Kinder nicht schliefen...auch sie hatten Angst. Schließlich hätte uns stets etwas passieren können!"

Er schüttelte seinen Kopf:"Aber es ist einfach schöner, wenn andere sich darüber freuen oder sogar mitsingen..", Ryan sah von ihr ab, da es ihm schwer fiel, weiter zu sprechen:"...wenn ich zu Hause war, haben wir unsere Abende oft so verbracht."
