House blieb geduldig vor der Tür stehen, schob Anna jedoch ein Stück darauf zu und blieb hinter ihr. Beinahe schüchtern stieß er die Tür noch ein Stück weiter auf und trat schließlich mit Anna ein. Nach weiterem kurzen Zögern schloss er Remy in seine Arme und hielt sie fest. "Bitte... Ich... Wir wollen dich nicht verlieren."

Er lächelte zaghaft und hob Anna auf seinen Arm, sodass sie auf gleicher Höhe mit den Erwachsenen war. "Ich hab euch lieb. Ich hab euch so unendlich lieb!", sagte er leise und betrachtete abwechselnd die Gesichter der beiden.

"Hast du uns auch lieb...Mama!?", kam es von Anna sofort. Sie freute sich sehr über House´s Aussage, hoffte, dass ihre Mutter genauso fühlte wie er und sie selbst.

Sie standen noch eine Weile gemeinsam in Remys Zimmer, dann nahm House sie schließlich sachte beim Arm und führte sie zum Bett hinüber. "Lang genug hier herumgestanden." Er mühte sich ein Grinsen ab und setzte sich mit aufs Bett, Anna auf dem Schoß. Remy sollte selbst entscheiden, ob sie sich hinlegen wollte, oder nicht.

Remy blieb sitzten und legte ihrer Tochter sanft den Arm um die Schultern. Anna sah von Remy zu House, danach legte sie House eine Hand auf seine und kuschelte sich an ihre Mutter.

House legte seinerseits den Arm um Remy und die andere Hand ließ er bei Annas liegen. Es war ein wunderschönes Gefühl, nicht mehr allein sein zu müssen, auch wenn der Grund dafür ein sehr trauriger war.
