"Später", war die einzige Antwort, die Remy erhielt. Stattdessen stand House auf, ging in die Küche und machte Remy ein wenig Essen warm. Mit der Schüssel und einem Löffel, dazu ein Becher Wasser, kam er zurück und stellte es auf dem Couchtisch ab, während er sich einen Sessel näher heranzog. Dann reichte er Remy das Essen.

Genervt nahm Remy das Essen entgegen und nahm auch gleich einen Löffel davon. Sie sagte jetzt nichts mehr und nahm sturr einen Löffel nach dem anderen zu ihrem Mund.

Eigentlich zwang er sie selten zu etwas, doch wenn er ihr jetzt gesagt hätte, dass Chase noch einmal zum Babysitten kommen sollte, wäre es mit dem Essen gleich wieder vorbei gewesen. "Na also, muss ich dich denn erst zwingen?"

Nach ein paar Löffeln begann sie wieder stark zu zittern und stellte die Schüssel zurück auf den Tisch. Anschließend lehnte sie sich an die Rücklehne des Sofas.

House zog die Hand zurück und ließ die Schüssel etwas grober als geplant auf den Tisch fallen. Er musste sich sehr zwingen, ruhig zu bleiben und drehte sich daher kurz weg, holte tief Luft und schaffte es so, den Wutanfall in einen gequälten Gesichtsausdruck einzuschränken, als er sich wieder den beiden zuwendete. "Ist es in Ordnung, wenn Chase morgen Abend wieder kommt?", fragte er nun direkt in Remys blasses Gesicht.
