Gerade als Chase sich zu ihr legen wollte, klopfte es erneut, die Tür ging auf und Remys Arzt und eine Schwester kamen herein, um die Visite zu machen. Chase drehte sich schnell weg, damit sie sein Grinsen nicht sehen konnten, er dachte gerade daran, was sie wohl gemacht hätten, wenn sie eine Minute später gekommen wären.

Chase nickte, sah Remy lieb an und streichelte ihr noch mit dem Daumen über die Hand, bevor er sie losließ. Dann schloss er die Zimmertür, als er draußen war und ließ sich auf einen Stuhl rutschen. Normalerweise war er es, der die Laute nach draußen schickte, insgeheim ärgerte es ihn ein wenig, dass es ihm nun umgekehrt erging.

Als der Arzt Remy alles wichtige erklärt hatte, verließen die beiden das Zimmer wieder und nickte Chase noch im Vorbeigehen kurz zu.
